Yesterday I spent hours, way too many, surfing the Sew Mama Sew Give Away offerings. Such fun, such potential. I'm pretty lucky, and this is a great way to add to my stash, if I'm lucky enough to win.
I have a lot of small projects to catch up with around the house, before I leave. I also have received a Summons for Jury Service, for next week. I'm not planning on starting any sewing/quilting projects before I leave. All those projects rolling around in my head will be ready to go, when I get back mid-June.
No, I'm not going fishing, I stole the photo from my friend Marilyn. June 3rd, I'm going to NYC, for a bit of sightseeing and to attend Book Expo America. It's a convention for booksellers. Bob describes it as a "candy store for readers". He hasn't been up to joining my the last couple of years, but on the 9th he's flying in so we and board a cruise ship and sail to Bermuda. It's going to be a great couple of weeks.
Elizabeth Hartman of Oh, Fransson! fame, is going to be doing a signing at the BEA. So, two of my worlds, books and quilting, will intersect. I'm hoping to come home with a signed copy of her new book, Modern Patchwork.
May your bobbins always be full,
Have a safe, and wonderful, trip to both NYC and Bermuda (my favorite island!!!)

I will be sad that this is going to be your quiet time but I am glad for you that you get to be in NYC and then on to Bermuda. Have a great trip and I can not wait to see the pics. Take one of the colorful houses with white roofs for me. Enjoy your time away.
