I've got a lovely bunch

of selvages, and I've been sewing them up as potholders.

This is part of my Christmas Project, that I mentioned here.  I "quilted" the selvages to two pieces of batting,

then, layed each "creation", on a co-ordinating piece of fabric, and wrapped the excess around for the binding.

I'm really pleased with these.  So far, I've made 8 pair of potholders and 8 hotpads.  I've been using 2 of the hotpads, for months, and I love them.

I have more than enough for my project, but I still have a basket stuffed with selvages.  I'm sure they'll be put to good use, eventually.

May your bobbins always be full,
