The Quilt Back for the Delectable Mountain Quilt is finished!

When I piece a quilt back there are so many choices to make, just like when I make the quilt top.  For this one, I felt the Lush Uptown fabric got a little lost in the Delectable Mountain blocks; I decided to feature one of the beautiful trees and a deer in the corner, from my favorite print.  I pulled some solids and started cutting and sewing.

I love how the block turned out and I think the bokeh is kinda cool, too.  Below, is the quilt top.

May your bobbins always be full,

  1. I love your quilt! Of course the front is just lovely! But the back is a surprise, and so unexpected. Very nicely done. The center section reminds me of a paint by number kit. At least 30 yrs ago, my son did a paint by number art piece that I still have. So this brought back a happy memory when he was a child. Love the colors of your mountain blocks. Very inspiring.
