More gifts

Front and reverse.

Two potholder sets made of scraps.  Many of the scraps are from leftover binding strips or from the last two rainbow quilts I made.  I got my idea for these from the many potholder tutorials in blog-land.  I sewed my scraps directly to the Insul-Bright and tacked a layer of Warm and Natural batting to one side, before stitching and turning.  These wacky potholders were a lot of fun to make; so I'll probably make more!

May your bobbins always be full,

Gifties

I'm going to devote the next couple of days to "not-quilting".  I have a couple of quilts planned, in my head, and am putting them off until I made some gifts.

Today I made these fabric baskets.  I modified a tutorial I found at Ayumi's Pink Penguin.  Kate Spain had sent me a petite four of Central Park, some time ago, and I wanted to use it.

I pulled some coordinating fabric from my stash,  and sewed away.  I'm really happy with the results.  "Front" in top photo, "Back" in lower photo.

May your bobbins always be full,
