Pink Skulls Baby Quilt

I have a large and wonderful family, including about 50 cousins.  One of my cousins, actually the daughter of a cousin, contacted me about making a quilt for her daughter who was having a baby girl.  The expectant mother is a mortician and her mother wanted a mostly pink quilt with skulls.  My first thought was sugar skulls, but no, she wanted just regular skulls.

So I found some pink skull fabric and pulled some great low-volume whites from my stash and did a disappearing four-patch design.

The last two photos, showing the front and back, are from the baby's' nursery.  The baby arrived before the quilt was delivered.

May your bobbins always be full,
