eeek!

After returning home from our cruise, I picked up this quilt from the long-arm quilter.  It's really beautiful; but she did the wrong quilting pattern.  My customer had requested stippling and the quilter did a feather design.  I'm posting this so my customer can see what it looks like and decide if she still wants it!

I just sent her a good news/bad news message!

Amended - She said she loved it and will take it!

Gobs of fabric

I've finished constructing the top and back of the commissioned quilt I'm sewing.  It will soon be off to the long arm quilters to be stippled, as requested.  I'm usually very proud and happy with my quilt photos, but not today.  Never the less, I'm showing them.  This quilt is huge.  Here are shots of the top and back, taken in our back yard.  Bob is standing on a step stool!

Here it is layed out on our Queen sized bed.  It really is the largest quilt I've ever attempted.  As the top and bottom kept growing, nearing completion, I felt like I wrangled gobs of fabric.  What a job!  I'm very pleased with it, and my friend who commissioned the quilt chose the most wonderful fabric to work with, Rue Saint Germain.  It was a pleasure to sew with.

I can't wait to get it back and put the binding on.

Funny

I'm stealing this from my friend Marilyn.  She received it in an email from a friend in Switzerland.  It's too funny not to pass around.

Keep on stitchin',
