OK, I'm bragging about the Positive Quilt.

This is the fourth, and final, quilt of mine that will appear in Quilty Magazine.  Fons and Porter has decided to discontinue this publication and concentrate to their other brands.  It's not easy to get published and I'm excited about this.  I did have two other quilts rejected by Fons and Porter; getting a rejection email is no fun, but that's life.

A Bright Spot

This hasn't been my favorite week, but seeing my quilt in "Quilty" brightened my day.  This is in the Jan/Feb issue.  The mag usually sends me a copy if I have a quilt in it, but not this time.  I picked this up at the grocery while stocking up on essentials.

Ever Evolving

Do you remember my Dead Simple Quilt?  Here's a couple more shots to refresh your memory.

I couldn't exactly follow the rules!  I threw in some Disappearing Four Patches, just to liven things up.  When I listed it in my Etsy shop, I called it Simple Patchwork Quilt.  I had no idea if that's what caught the attention of Mary Fons, the editor of Quilty magazine, but it did.  I received an etsy convo, last August, asking if I'd be interested in having my quilt in her magazine.

I said, Yes.

My ever supportive husband was very impressed that it was four pages.  Below is the mag cover.

This was quite a process.  I was assigned an editor, I was asked for a photo,(which they didn't use), a bio, a tutorial, and my quilt.  I still don't have the quilt back; but I'm sure it's on the way.  Last month I was asked to comment on why I piece the back of my quilts, (they didn't use that).  I was asked for info. regarding my long arm quilter, (they didn't use that, either).  I mentioned the things they didn't use, not out of disappointment, but as a heads up, if you go through the quilt mag process!

It was all a very exciting process.
