In the mail.

I put these in the mail, last week, for the three lovely ladies who signed up for my Handmade Pay It Forward.  I posted the PIF, in August, I had 365 days to complete it, but I felt late!  These are 10" square hotpads.  I used a lot of the selvadges I've been saving.  I thought selvadge hotpads would be perfect for quilters.  I added the bamboo slotted spoons, because the hotpads, didn't seem like enough.  Anyway, I sure hope they like them.

Pay It Forward.

In May, I won a spot in Kelsey Sews Pay It Forward.  One of her stipulations was that I had to do had to do my own Pay It Forward.  I let her know upfront that mine would have to wait until August, until my two 2-week vacations were over.  She was fine with that.

Here are the rules:

1.  I will make a little something for the first 3 people who comment on this post.

2.  It will be a surprise and it will arrive when you least expect it.  I will have 365 days to do it in.

3.  What's the catch? To get a handmade present from me, you have to play too!  This means YOU pledge to send a little handmade something to 3 readers of your blog.  It doesn't have to be quilty - just handmade.

4.  You must have an active blog.

a catch-up

In March, I signup up for a Handmade Pay It Forward with Janet at Entropy Undone.  Yesterday I received this great gathered clutch.  I really love it.  I've already completed my Handmade Pay It Forward, that I was obligated to do, for signing up.  My 3 winners have their surprises.  I'm sure I'll do another, soon.

This is the first wallhanging I quilted of my Little Forrest QAL.  It's not perfect, of course, but I'm very please with it.  I'll try to get the other two finished today, so I can get the bindings on.

I used this spray for basting.  It worked really well, I was pleasantly surprised.
