It's time for the Blogger's Quilt Festival hosted by AmysCreativeSide.com. It's a virtual quilt show and there are always so many beautiful quilts to see.
My problem is, each quilt I make is my favorite, each and every one. It's hard to feature just one! But here it goes.
I named this quilt Simple Kites Patchwork Quilt. It was my first time making Half Rectangle Triangles, and it was easy and simple. I pinned a great tutorial for HRTs, here. I asked my long arm quilter to use this flying kite design and I love the way the quilting turned out.
I piece the backs of 95% of my quilts, it's such a fun way to use up scraps and to add interest. The quilt measures 66.75 X 41.5.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those examples of how a beautiful quilt top and back combined with beautiful quilting becomes so much more than either of them alone. Just lovely.
