The quilt top and back are finished. While I was waiting for the fabric to finish the border around the top, I made the back! Talk about time management! I ordered the fabric on Friday, it shipped on Saturday and I received it on Monday. Added the last two borders on Tuesday, and took the photos today.
We almost didn't get these photos today because it's really windy outside. The photos were taken between wind burst.
I usually take my photos on the other side of the backstop, but had to move to the baseball field side, so the wind would push against the quilt. I like the chain-link fence shadows on the quilt; it's almost like quilting.
There goes the wind. My quilt model was very helpful, holding the corner down. I started this quilt with a stack of 51 fat eights, I used 36 for the quilt top: I took 12 for the quilt back and did this up and down pattern.
Now, I just have to wait for my long arm quilter to do her part.
May your bobbins always be full,
This quilt looks fab. I love the way you've made those leaves and the photos are cool too :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to see this finished!
ReplyDeletelove, love this - the leaf is a lot more fulsome - I've been playing with an idea for a leaf quilt but I was going to use the 'standard' one - until I saw yours that is!! beautiful....
