I've been doing a lot of traveling this year. By the end of the year, I'll be away from home for over 100 days. The downside is lack of quilting time.
A couple of months ago, my grandson Oden who is 18, asked me to make him a quilt for his bed. His two specifications were:
1. a quilt with a pattern
2. a white background.
Should be easy, right? I took my time and finally decided on the Folksy Flock quilt pattern from issue 48 of Love Patchwork and Quilting. The pattern is for a 72" x 80" quilt so I had to do some math and come up with a plan for a double-size bed quilt. Fun times!
This was my first fabric pull, I ended up adding many more greens because I didn't want all the blocks to look the same.
Here are the "A" blocks. There are 33 of them but I only laid out 30.
Now, on to the next phase!
