Pool Party Quilt

Well, my LAQ surprised me, and the rest of her customers.  She pushed herself to start 2021 with an empty "to-do" list.  That meant she needed to quilt a lot of quilts, and some were like mine, not due until mid-January.  So I got this Pool Party quilt back before Christmas, and I got the binding on this week.  I really love how it turned out.

The Pool Party Quilt was a result of my Pre-Cut Challenge.  I used a layer cake and various black and white low-volume fabrics, all from stash.  It measures 65" x 81", and will stay here at Casa Prytz.

The last photo shows that two hangers just didn't do the job!  Fun times.  This is quilt #21 for 2020; see something good did come out of this horrible year.

Pool Party Quilt Top, Pre-cut Challenge

The Pool Party Disappearing-4-Patch quilt top is assembled. It measures 64.5" x 80.5". After assembly, I found a problem but it's staying! Can you spot the problem?

I made this from a layer cake called Pool Party Palette by Kona Cotton. I tried to keep the blues in the order they were in the layer cake, I succeeded for the most part. I'm very happy with the result. This is part of my pre-cut challenge, trying to use up all the precuts I've accumulated over the years.

Yes, this Disappearing-4-Patch looks different, if you want to make your own version, you can find the tutorial on YouTube, here.
