Yet another QAL!

Grab your favorite fat quarters and let's start quilting!

Call me crazy, but I appear to have jumped with both feet, onto the QAL Bandwagon.  This is the 3rd one I've signed up for, in as many days.  This is it!  (Probably.)  I usually don't have projects in progress; I start something and finish it, before moving on the the next thing.  I'm afraid that's over, for now.

Here's the information you need to get started:

Fabric Requirements:

16 Fat Quarters
2 1/2 yards background and border and sashing fabric
optional 2 yards addional border fabric -- this makes the larger size quilt
5 yards (6 yards for larger size) backing
3/4 yard binding (for both sizes)

Size of Quilt: 65" x 84"

This will be a great way to use some of my stash  Above is Summer Song by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs FQ bundle, I've had it for awhile now.  This may be a good time to use it.

Two, #1

All ready to gift to my friend for her great grand baby.

She's have two great grand babies arrive in August.

I got them done in a nick of time!

Two #2

Yay, I managed to get the binding on both quilts today.

I took a close-up of the lower right block to show that they really are different.

The piecing on the back is very simple.  The quilt measures 47x47 inches.

Two

Over the weekend, I made TWO, yes, TWO baby quilts.  My friend Darlene asked me to make a baby quilt for her great grand-baby, expected in August.  The colors she wanted were pale aqua, pale green and mocha and she mentioned a lot of white.  I pulled the fabrics from my stash.  The fabric that looks black is really a brown pindot.

I've been wanting to make The Super Stars Quilt from Fresh Fabric Treats.  The quilt is too large for a baby quilt, 70 x 70", and uses pre-cuts.  I love the design, so I pressed forward and adapted.

The background fabric is a white on white, for a little interest, and the backs feature a simple strip of dashes of color.  The quilts are 50 x 50".

These are my two supervisors, Lizzie, who's 14 years old and Dudley, he's 12.  They're great dogs.

In case you're wondering why I made two, Darlene didn't ask for a second quilt, but she's actually adding two great grand-babies in August.  Her daughter is becoming a grandmother, twice - not twins, both in August and I wanted to be prepared.  Now I have to wait for the long are quilter to work her magic.
