I'm officially caught up!

I still have a long list of quilts I want to make, but today I caught up on the San Diego MQG Vintage Quilt Revival QAL.

This is the November Block, Mosaic Number 19.  It goes along with the other November Block, Red Cross, below.

There were NO blocks for December, which was a very good thing, for me.  And January has only one block.  I think Chris Broehmer, the gal who ororganized this QAL, is very smart.  One block this month is great for me.  I'm hoping to stay current from now on.

This is the Mayflower Block for January.  This was definitely the easiest paper pieced block of the group; plus I'm starting to think I may know what I'm doing.

Reverse Star Baby Quilt

This may be my last finish of 2013!  I have 3 small quilts at my long arm quilter, and 3 more large quilts being planned, to be ready for her, before the end of the year.  But, I don't think it's fair to demand they be done before the end of the year.  She's busy enough as it is.  This 40 x 40 inch baby quilt will go in the shop, as soon as I get some more photos.  It was a bit dreary, today.

The back.

I improvised, down at the pool.  Because it was so overcast, no one was taking advantage of the facilities,   The pool was smooth as glass.  Sun is expected tomorrow, so more photos, then.

A Really Fast Back

I used my opps block on the quilt back for The Reverse Star Baby Quilt.  It's such a small quilt, I thought that was enough.

Here's the quilt top:

Reverse Star Baby Quilt Top

When I pulled the fabrics for the Churn Dash Quilt, I pulled these polka dot fabrics, as an alternative.  I'm glad I saved these for this Reverse Star Quilt Top.

I love the secondary patterns created in this quilt, diamonds, four patches and stars!  I also love that I used my stash, and a ton of white scraps for the stars.

This little quilt top measures 41 inches square.

One of these things is not like the other!

In other words, I wasn't paying attention!  Bob suggested I take  break, and I agree.

Well, I started a new quilt today.  I should have 3 completed blocks, instead I have two, and one that may journey to the back of the quilt.

Amazing stars.

This quilt is my inspiration, of course mine will not be perfection, like this one.  I saw it on The Chicago Modern Quilt Guild blog.
